This young woman will blow you away. She is an amazing singer/songwriter worth listening to. My first time ever hearing her was live at a funderaiser in NYC and let me tell you, I was amazed. Her stage presence is remarkable and her vocals are killer. I heard her and thought, “this is the type of voice the industry is lacking.” For such a young woman her vocals are beyond her years; Very soulful, soft, and beautifully pure. Not only does she sing, she plays the guitar, the piano, and she is a part of Project Valentine, which is a well known dance company in NYC. It seems she does it all.

I’ve been listening intently to her quite a bit lately and I’m definitely in awe at her songwriting skills. To be a 19 year old woman who can write a song that everyone can relate to is definitely note worthy. You hear the passion in her lyrics and the gracefulness in her voice when she sings. I admire this girl and I’m looking forward to the day I hear her soul on the radio.

Let me start by saying . . . The kidd is fly. Jaysen "Jae B" Stewart is one talented ass 22 year old who will definitely be taking over 2010. December 2009 Jae B dropped not one, but two mixtapes; First Semester and Starting Over. And I must say, "Clap, Clap, Bravo!" From rapping, to producing, to singing his ass off (although he swears, "I don't sing") he can seemingly do it all. His intelligence and creativity is like a breath of fresh air and lyrically, the kidd is on point. From the Intro on Starting Over to the last track "Slow Down" Jae B keeps you wrapped in the very essence of hip hop. On First Semster he says it best "Nigga, im a lover and a fighter..." The mixtapes speak for themselves.

Out of much of the bullshit that's out here today, I can honestly say he is bringing back hip hop in the way you've all been waiting for. So sit back, relax and vibe with it. I gaurantee you'll love it and if not, you'll at least respect what this young man is bringing to the table.

Introducing JayVon Phillips. . .

You can't knock his hustle. JayVon Phillips is a 22 year old, Harlem raised boy with a sweet voice to swoon the masses. His demo, conveniently named, "The Demo" EP, dropped earlier this year and I must say, it is definitely a sound you have never heard before. From his writing skills to his vocal ability, "The Demo" has a pop/dance feel to it that will leave you wanting to hear more.

He goes from delivering a heartfelt song like, "Let It Go,"which is seemingly the favorite amongst his fans, to upbeat club bangers like "Girl Downstairs" and "Pop To the Beat."

If this is the future of pop music, count me in. The kidd is talented, artistically different from all the rest, and one of the hardest working people I have had the pleasure of being friends with. I promise, if a different fun new sound is what you're seeking, then that is exactly what you're getting.

I guarantee this, JayVon Phillips is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2010.
